The South Dakota Red Tape
Task force shall: identify unreasonable or unjustifiable
barriers to entry, or hurdles to entrepreneurship,
wealth creation or job creation; identify other
competitive edges or economic development niches South
Dakota has, or should have; create an environment for
idea-gathering and issues development at strategic times
and venues; identify ways SD can advocate change in
federally-regulated areas that cause unreasonable
hurdles, to ease business in SD; create a rallying cry
for state agencies, boards and commissions to identify
and reduce bureaucracy for business and new business;
and identify other states' novel approaches, which may
be replicable in SD.
